Bringing together business leaders from Indonesia and around the world, as well as multilateral development partners, research institutions and representatives of NGOs and civil society institutions, a Tropical Landscapes Summit will be held from 27th to 28th April 2015 at the Shangri-La Hotel, in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta. Carrying the main theme "A Global Investment Opportunity", the meeting explores the role of green investments in delivering a sustainable future for Indonesia.
Designed to provide a platform describing and promoting the nation's strategic vision for green investment, while also allowing the government to acquire input from multiple stakeholders on the framework and its further evolution, the summit will be attended by President Joko Widodo, and Vice President Jusuf Kalla who is keynote speaker of the Meeting . A number of Ministers who will give their perspectives are: : Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar; Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning, Ferry Mursyidan Baldan; Minister of Finance, Bambang Brodjonegoro; Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya; and more.
The meeting will not only bring together government and private sector actors, but also leaders from the United Nations, including Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Program, Achim Steiner, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program, and more.
