Renowned for its famous Rendang and Padang Cuisine, the world class Tour de Singkarak annual mega sport tourism event, and the unique Jam Gadang Clock Tower at the charming little town of Bukittinggi, the province of West Sumatra is blessed with fascinating attractions from stunning scenery to its intriguing architecture and culture. Home of the Minangkabau ethnic group, this is the land where age-old social and cultural traditions are well preserved and are highly valued.

On 25th to 26th August 2017 these traditions of the Minangkabau will be presented at the Pasa Harau Art & Cultural Festival that will be centered at the beautiful Harau Valley in the Limapuluh Kota Regency.

Located about an hour's drive from the town of Bukittinggi, the Harau Valley, - sometimes dubbed the Yosemite of Indonesia,- has green rice fields hemmed in by huge granite rocks, where refreshing waterfalls tumble down to irrigate the fields.
